Technical projects

Reversi Game-Playing Bot2026

Engine implementation · C, Minimax, Alpha-beta pruning

  • Implemented minimax search with alpha-beta pruning and heuristic move ordering.
  • Added iterative deepening and CPU-time checks to manage the search budget.
  • Used phase-based scoring for mobility, corners, edges, and discs.
  • Ranked 4th on the APS105 leaderboard in a 440-student course and received a Certificate of Outstanding Performance.

Personal Values Modeling2026

Adaptation & evaluation · Python, LoRA, Evaluation

  • Compared prompting and LoRA-based adaptation using questionnaire responses.
  • Implemented a residual linear head with approximately 4,096 trainable parameters.
  • Evaluated prediction accuracy against an unadapted baseline and repeated tests across models.
  • Initial accuracy gains did not reproduce consistently across models. The experiments do not establish a reliable improvement over the baseline.

RecordYourUni2026

Product direction & deployment · Netlify, Cloudflare, Supabase

  • Defined product requirements and directed AI-assisted implementation.
  • Deployed the website with Netlify and configured domain routing with Cloudflare.
  • Worked with Supabase as part of the project’s platform setup.
  • Launched a website used by 30+ international students studying in Canada.

Oura API Integration (In progress)2026

Python API integration · Python, REST API, Keyring

  • Integrated Oura readiness data in Python.
  • Implemented JSON token serialization.
  • Used Python keyring to store credentials through the operating system’s credential store.
  • The initial data integration and credential-storage work are implemented. The project is still in progress.
