Technical projects
Engine implementation · C, Minimax, Alpha-beta pruning
- Implemented minimax search with alpha-beta pruning and heuristic move ordering.
- Added iterative deepening and CPU-time checks to manage the search budget.
- Used phase-based scoring for mobility, corners, edges, and discs.
- Ranked 4th on the APS105 leaderboard in a 440-student course and received a Certificate of Outstanding Performance.
Adaptation & evaluation · Python, LoRA, Evaluation
- Compared prompting and LoRA-based adaptation using questionnaire responses.
- Implemented a residual linear head with approximately 4,096 trainable parameters.
- Evaluated prediction accuracy against an unadapted baseline and repeated tests across models.
- Initial accuracy gains did not reproduce consistently across models. The experiments do not establish a reliable improvement over the baseline.
Product direction & deployment · Netlify, Cloudflare, Supabase
- Defined product requirements and directed AI-assisted implementation.
- Deployed the website with Netlify and configured domain routing with Cloudflare.
- Worked with Supabase as part of the project’s platform setup.
- Launched a website used by 30+ international students studying in Canada.
Python API integration · Python, REST API, Keyring
- Integrated Oura readiness data in Python.
- Implemented JSON token serialization.
- Used Python keyring to store credentials through the operating system’s credential store.
- The initial data integration and credential-storage work are implemented. The project is still in progress.
